Welcome to my web page. I am Full Professor at Roma Tre University (Department of Computer Science and Automation, D.I.A.). I received the "Laurea" degree in Electronic Engineering in 1991 from the University of Rome "La Sapienza", and then I completed the Ph.D. in Operations Research in 1995, in the same University. I joined Roma Tre in 1996 as research associate.
My research interests are in areas involving efficient utilization of resources, computer algorithms and discrete optimization. I did work on part routing, machine layout and scheduling problems among others. My contributions are to the analysis of heuristics and exact algorithms, and to the complexity analysis of algorithms and problems in this context. My recent interests are on multi-agent scheduling and on real-time scheduling in public transport and in complex manufacturing systems.
I am member of CIRO and INFORMS.
Here is my curriculum (in Italian) and the list of my publications.
Here is a list of my past and current research projects.
